Experience

For more than 30 years, I have dedicated my life to serving students and families in education — including 14 years as a teacher, 19 years as a middle school assistant principal, and 5 years as a special education coordinator.

My commitment to young people extends beyond the classroom. I have served as a Sunday School teacher and superintendent, a Girl Scout leader, a mentor to young people, and a community volunteer, including starting a literacy program in my former Pinewood Hills neighborhood to support reading and writing for children.
